Bill Black's Combo - The World's Greatest Honk-tonk Band & Award Winners CD : Release Information

Bill Black's Combo - The World's Greatest Honk-tonk Band & Award Winners. CD. (Demon Records - HILO177)

In 1962, Bill Black passed on bandleader duties to Bob Tucker and when he died, in 1965, Tucker continued to remain faithful to Black's intentions by keeping the Combo active for as long as there was audience demand. These final two albums (both of which make their CD debut here) are heavily country influenced and feature covers of Duane Eddy ('Rebel Rouser') and The Safaris ('Wipeout'). Fully remastered and re-annotated with vintage sleeve art.
