Don Robertson - Dawn LP : Release Information

Don Robertson - Dawn. LP. (Akarma - AK 240)

Bizarre Acid freakout/chillout/trip album from 1969. US musician Don Robertson was the obscure and uncontested master of 'eastern psychedelia'. Trained as a classical pianist, Robertson was infatuated with rock & roll and formed the Contrasts with whom he played until 1965. Like many of his contemporaries he then began experimenting with non-western music, realized on this extraordinary album which is an audio trip with sound effects, sound samples and exotic instruments. Harps, tabla, jaltarang all combine to produce this mix of eastern-influenced folk, exotica, psych rock and general weirdness. Far out!LAST 2 COPIES OF THIS DELETED ALBUM.
