Murphys - 1973 Aquashow Demos LP : Release Information

Murphys - 1973 Aquashow Demos. LP. (Red Lounge - RLR 22)

This New York Underground Garage and Psych Rock Band had been around for a few years before being offered a record deal in 1973. Sadly this coincided with the original line up falling out with other; instead of folding altogether, Elliott Murphy, his brother and a friend recorded all of their original material in demo form. The tapes comprise of two guitars playing jangling West Coast style guitars and buzzing '60's solos, superb bass and vocals only (no drums), portraying Elliott's genius storytelling. Many of the tracks eventually ended up on Elliott's Aquashow album but in a completely different form and with a strong garagy feel. First 500 copies include free bonus 7" of early session recordings!
