Neil Young - Harvest. CD. (Reprise Records - 7599-27239-2) 1972 and perhaps Neil Young's greatest album is released. Not only was it a landmark country/rock crossover album but it contained the huge hit "Heart Of Gold" as well as similar rural tinged melancholia such as "Old Man" and "A Man Needs a Maid" and the cutting "The Needle and the Damage Done" Brilliant throughout.
