(Atom Music - ATOM2005) Although their professional career as a recording and performing band was to span just three brief but spectacular years, British rock group the Nice’s contributions to the popular music scene of the late 60s cannot be over-estimated. Even now, well over three decades later, their electrifying brand of classical rock still has the ability to win new admirers as well as continuing to entrance those fans old enough to remember them the first time around. Their interesting style is well represented on this superb collection of tracks, many of which were co-written by Keith Emerson, who would go on to be part of ELP, one of the most successful prog bands of all time.
