Rick Nelson - Garden Party. Dble CD. (Atom Music - ATOM2011) This 2 disc collection contains all of his 21 classic, Top 40 UK and US hits plus 9 tracks recorded Live on tour in 1983. Rick Nelson was a teenage star who developed into a mature performer in a career that spanned four decades, that was only curtailed when he died, aged 44, in a plane crash on New Years Eve in 1985. He was known as Ricky Nelson on all his hits up until 'Hello Mary Lou' in 1961.Thereafter, conscious of his maturing image and audience, he recorded and toured as Rick Nelson. The album also contains live versions of Garden Party, Honky Tonk Women, Boppin' The Blues and Hello Mary Lou (Goodbye Heart).
