Virgin Prunes - Sons Find Devils. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDS - CRDVD) One of the leading alternative bands of the early 1980's the Virgin Prunes are going through somewhat of a renaissance of popularity being cited left right and centre by the new wave of British post-punk groups. Avant-garde and experimental the Prunes bravely went were few bands of the time were willing to go and attracting the attention of such luminaries as Colin Newman of Wire (who produced their second album). This DVD, the first to feature the Prunes, showcases their fantastic live act (which combined light shows and were often more akin to performance art than a rock show) along with snippets of spoken word and set pieces designed by the band. A must for fans of brave alternative music.
