HELP : TECHNICAL INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS : SHOPPING BASKET AND CHECKOUT PROBLEMS

I am receiving a message that cookies are not enabled, but I have checked and they are.

Solution:

  1. This generally appears to be a problem with browsers caching pages, and 90% of the time this problem can be rectified by right clicking on the page and selecting reload or refresh. If this does't work try closing down your web browser, and returning to the site through the main url and front page at http://www.freakemporium.com. The first page of the web site will read in your shopping basket and set up cookies dependant on this, so always enter the site through this page.

  2. If not we generally bet that you're on the Windows2000 platform. We're not sure why, but most people who experience this problem are on Windows 2000, and it tends to go away when the computer is restarted! If anyone can throw any further light on this we'd be interested to hear.

  3. Still having problems? Send an email to tech@freakemporium.com. Be sure to include the following information :

    • The make of the browser you are using, and the version (ie - Netscape v4.7, Opera 5.1).
    • The platform you are on - ie - Windows XP, Windows 3.1, Mac OS9 etc.
    • Let us know if you are behind a network firewall or some type of firewall that will not allow cookies to get through.
    • Include details of precisely what the problem is. Eg. How you enter the site, where you go to and where the problem occurs.
